Great school

I studied with Accent Francais for 8 weeks over the summer. I started at level A0 (no knowledge of French) and finished at A2+. I booked last-minute, three days before my selected start date, and the school were great at helping me get organised with accomodation. The first day was well-organised with the orientation of Montpellier and also the level testing. The teachers throughout my stay were good. Assessment was continuous and I got moved up three classes in one week because I was finding it too easy (I studied on my own in the afternoons). Course content was good, although sometimes too repetitive at times. Classrooms were nice but could do with air con or ceiling fans for the hot summer months - at times it was too unpleasant. My host family were OK. I think my French improved much quicker than it would have on my own. Unfortunately the host family was the worst part of my stay - no air con or ceiling fan (yet again) and I think the woman must have had OCD. I got the impression that she was only in it for the money but she did sit with me for an hour at dinner to talk with me. If I came back to this school, which I'd like to do, I'd make sure I wasn't with her because she was very rude. I'm 28 and don't like being how to spend my time or that I'm studying too much.

I liked the tours the school offered. Jean-Paul is great and very passionate about the area. The price is good too and often I found it was cheaper to go with the school then to go alone and I learnt more with the school.

I spent 2 incredible weeks at accent francais this summer. I'm 17 so i stayed with a host family and the mother was so lovely, talking to her really improved my french. I thought the classes were very good and interesting, and all the teachers i had were really helpful and friendly. The excursions organised by the school were great, I saw so much in 2 weeks. And montpellier is a beautiful amazing city, perfect for everyone.

J'ai passé un super 3 mois a Accent Français! Les professeurs etait trés gentil et j'ai appris beaucoup. Les exercises etait intéressant et très utile et j'ai profité bien de le temp que j'ai passé à Montpellier et à Accent Français, une experience que je vais jamais oublier!

I have made a stage in Accent Français during several weeks, it was actually an exchange, I have made my French courses in the morning and I have worked in the afternoon. I find that it is a really good way to practice your language knologe, you really make a plunge in the language; from the morning and all the day you stay near french people and all what you do is making attempts to undersatand what you hear, and understand really correct as after that everything you have been said has to be fullfilled, so it is a good experience. français au niveau assez pour être comprendre, et ça ne sera pas le mensonge si je vais dire que beaucoup de mes connaissance j'ai reçu en Accent Français!

I did a 6-week internship at Accent Francais, and it was a terrific experience! The people who work there were all really nice, and I felt part of the group from my first week. All my tasks were explained to me perfectly, and it was challenging to just the right extent. Montpellier is a beautiful town that offers a lot of opportunities and I enjoyed staying there very much. I only partook in classes for one week, but I had a very good impression. Courses are well prepared, each student is individually evaluated, and you should not hesitate to approach the school with any inquiries or complaints. If you consider taking language classes or finding an internship in France, Accent Francais is a great place to turn to!

I chose AF, and Montpellier, for several reasons. After first looking at schools in Aix-en-Provence, discovered the schools in Montpellier were 1/2 to 1/3 the price. And of the schools in Montpellier, AF had the most informative web site and the all the reviews were very positive.

And the school lived up to those reviews. All the teachers were excellent and enthusiastic about what they were doing; the admin staff was always helpful and friendly.

Montpellier is close to the beach and a nice bike ride along the Lez was always pleasant. Montpellier is also a great jumping off point for visiting other parts of France. One of my faves was hiking in Les Alpilles.

Well worth a visit to both Montpellier, and Accent Francais!

Minha experiencia com a Accent Français foi otima. Minha Homestay era mto boa, mto confortavel... E os professores super simpaticos, assim como todo o staff. Os professores e funcionarios falam muitas linguas, o que pode ajudar em certas situações. Recomendo fortemente a escola e a cidade!

Accent Francais provided the most exciting experience I could imagine. The staff is very friendly, the teachers are amazing, the extra activities are well planned. The size of the class is perfect. I highly recommend this school and I'm coming back

I took four months of classes at Accent Francais. The classes were tough, but fun and I made lots of new friends from around the world. The administrative staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions - and I had lots of them - since this was my first time living outside of my native country. Most importantly, I saw a dramatic improvement in my language skills during my time there. This is a great gateway to the south of France.

Mon voyage à Montpellier a été parfait!
La ville est très jolie et le soleil vraiment ne se couche jamais.
J´ai aimé aussi l´école Accent Français òu j´ai étudié.
L´école est bien organisé, moderne et les professeurs sont si bons.
Et toute l´équipe pédagogique et l´administrative sont super !

A wonderful experience, with classmates and extra-curricular activities as meaningful as time in class. I attended Senior Stage for students 50+. It was six months ago, and I wish I could start over again. Perhaps in a year or two I will be able to return for another magical two weeks in Montpellier.

I spent an absolutely wonderful 2 months at Accent Français (Nov 2008 -Jan 2009). As a law student currently completing a degree in French studies, I found the teaching methods here extremely stimulating, challenging and highly interactive. Classes were small and the school facilities were great and unsurprisingly, I made a lot of quick progress with my French. Furthermore, the staff was unbelievably warm, friendly and welcoming and it was a pleasure coming into class each morning to be greeted by an enthusiastic smile!

Having studied at other language schools in France, I would definitely recommend Accent Français as a fantastic, if not the BEST choice for anybody searching for an intimate and personalised study experience at a high quality French language course in Montpellier or the South of France. In fact, I’m already eagerly planning a return trip!!!

Our 17 years old daughter wanted to travel alone to France to spend one month studying the language this July. She found Accent Français by herself. We got a good impression of the school's seriousness before booking. Her stay was a complete success. Her French made huge progress, she made many new friends and came back enthousiastic about her experience. The host family that the school provided, was great. We will recommend Accent Français to any parents whose child is eager for such an experience.

I spent here 2 weeks and I was very very satisfied. I was in Montpellier for ,,Stage pour les professeurs" and I had no problem. A coordinator of Accent francais is a lady who is competent and kind. The teachers adapted the plan to our needs and my class comprised only 4 or 5 students. It´s a pity that I could stay only two weeks :)

I spent four weeks at Accent Français. I didn't know what to expect about the facilities, the teachers, the other students... but it was all so fantastic, it's difficult to sum it up here! Such a great welcome from staff. In the morning, small classes where everybody has a chance to talk and learn. I really improved. And in the afternoon, fantastic excursions into surrounding towns. This part of France is just amazing. Highly recommended.

I spent two glorious weeks in Montpellier. I cant say enough about the positive experience that I had at Accent Francais. Everyone that I encountered at the school was so helpful and friendly. The teachers were fantastic and it was the first time that I have had a French class that was not bogged down with tedious grammatical excercises. Not that that in not important but the school emphasizes the oral component. I was also placed with an extraordianry family. I couldnt believe how much French that I learned in two weeks. I also took cooking classes at L'Atelier de Valerie. I highly recommend that as well.

I was involved in making arrangements for my son and a group of friends to attend a course in June 09. The staff at the school were so helpful, understanding and efficient in dealing with our enquiries. As well at that my son and his friends enjoyed the course immensely and found the tuition excellent. I would strongly recommend Accent Francais.

It`s been already 3 summers ago that i went to Accent Francais and I still remember clearly every expirience I had with classmates, roomates and teachers. I also made good friendships that we are still in contact and also I met at Accent Francais my boyfriend and we have stayed together ever since. If i could I would like to go back again as many summers as possible and re-live those wonderful memories. Without a doubt the best time of my life.

The Senior Program was great -- classes in the mornings and excursions in the afternoons! The teachers were professional, energetic and fun. I learned a great deal, met wonderful people and had a marvelous time. I highly recommend this school and this program.
